Meet our resident Slow Summer Club coach, Lisa Slater...

Hi Reader,

Over the past few weeks, I've shared the dates and the sessions for the Slow Summer Club.

But a programme is only as good as the people running it. So let me introduce them, starting with our resident coach, Lisa Slater.

Lisa is the owner of Make Your Copy Count Ltd and the author of The Freelance Fairytale: How to Create Your Happy Ever After. Her mission is to help freelancers and small business owners attract more ideal clients and build businesses that make them happy.

When I asked Lisa what got her into freelancing, she said:

“I was just curious to find out whether I could make a living working for myself.”

Lisa spent two years freelancing around a full-time job, testing the waters before taking the plunge. She's now been fully self-employed for 10 years.

As your coach, Lisa will be with you at the very start and the very end of the programme. In our first session, she'll help you set clear goals for what you want to achieve in the next quarter. And in our final session, she'll guide you to reflect on your progress and map out the slow summer you want to create.

She's the right person to guide you through the programme — someone who's been exactly where you are and built a career on her own terms.
